Solar-powered keyless entry from A.R.E.

A.R.E. has announced the availability of solar-powered keyless entry to its line of fiberglass tonneau covers.

The SolARay solar-powered keyless entry system allows drivers to remotely lock and unlock A.R.E.'s LSX and LSII tonneau covers using solar energy, giving users quick access to their truck beds. SolARay works by mounting an aerodynamic solar panel measuring less than one-tenth of an inch above the tonneau cover's lock and attaching a sleek battery pack to the inside center of the cover.

The product also features six lift-activated LED lights that automatically turn on when the tonneau cover is opened. The LED lights are on the front of the battery pack. They feature a timer that automatically turns off after five minutes and a light sensor to determine the light conditions.

A set of two key fobs are included with the purchase of SolARay. A.R.E. offers a one-year warranty on the product.

Donovan Enterprises offers Sidewinder 350

The Sidewinder 350 from Donovan Enterprises (Stuart FL) is the newest addition to its line of low-maintenance trailer tarp systems. This system weighs only 350 pounds to maximize load capacity. Heavy-duty steel hinges constructed of 1/2" and 3/8" steel ensures maximum durability.

Aluminum I-beam constructed front and rear lids are completely interchangeable and require no welding. All that is needed is a wrench to bolt them into place. The new “twin cable” design seals the edge of any transfer or chip trailer and maintains total trash containment.

The Sidewinder 350 can cover/uncover a trailer in less than 20 seconds, saving time and keeping the driver safely on the ground.
