Peterbilt has rolled out its 1,000th -and final- Model 379 Legacy Class Edition, marking the completion of the 379’s 20-year run.

Peterbilt Wisconsin delivered the truck to TWX Corp. The truck’s two owners, Kevin and Laurie Hagenow, celebrated by accompanying the truck through the assembly process and drove the truck off the production line in Denton.

“We are proud to have been chosen to receive this historical truck,” said Kevin Hagenow.

Since 1986 Peterbilt has produced over 230,000 Model 379s. Over 89% of these trucks remain in operation today, the OEM said.

The Model 379 has been replaced by the Model 389, which features new technologies and refinements for improved aerodynamics, said Peterbilt.
