Rush Enterprises Inc, which operates the largest network of Peterbilt heavy-duty truck dealerships in North America, has acquired the common stock of Orange County Truck and Trailers Inc, a Peterbilt dealer in central Florida.

The acquisition gives Rush the exclusive rights to sell Peterbilt trucks and parts from three new locations in central Florida, including Orlando, Haines City, and Tampa. Rush now operates 38 truck locations in eight states.

The transaction was valued at about $5.4 million, with the purchase price paid in cash. Rush intends to operate the acquired company as a full-service Peterbilt franchise, and will begin to integrate their operations into the Rush Truck Center system immediately.
