Henderson Manufacturing Inc. has promoted Glenn Beck to vice president of the Henderson Truck Equipment facilities

Henderson Manufacturing Inc. has promoted Glenn Beck to vice president of the Henderson Truck Equipment facilities, and he will be responsible for Henderson Truck Equipment Iowa and Henderson Truck Equipment New York locations. He most recently served as vice president of eastern operations and will be relocating from northeast Pennsylvania to Henderson headquarters in Manchester IA. Bruce Schulte has joined the firm as eastern regional manager. The Morris Plains NJ resident has been in the truck equipment industry for the past 12 years and has worked either directly for Henderson or one of its affiliates during his tenure. Kevin Fiddes also has joined Henderson as central regional manager. The Peoria IL resident's experience includes service in the truck equipment industry for the past 11 years.

Component manufacturers

Maxon Lift Corp. has realigned its sales force, with Ted Raquet transitioning into the new role of vice president of key accounts. Howard Smith has been promoted to vice president of sales and has 17 years' experience in the trailer and truck equipment industry. Brian Hufnagl has been promoted to regional director responsible for the Central Region. He has 15 years' experience in the transportation industry.

Jerry Reynolds recently assumed duties as director of North American field service for Hendrickson. For the past three years, he served as national service manager.

The Building Systems business of BASF Construction Chemicals announced that Katherine Blatz recently joined the BASF market segment management team. She will be based in Kansas City MO. She comes to BASF with 13 years of technical, sales, and marketing experience in corrosion mitigation and protection, silane technology, and urethane grouting.

ArvinMeritor has appointed Larry Burgin vice president and general manager-Trailer Products, under the Commercial Vehicle Systems business unit. Most recently, Burgin served as general manager-direct materials optimization for the company's Performance Plus program.

Karmak Inc. recently named John Lebel as chief technology officer, and he will oversee the IT operations of the firm's Carlinville IL and Springfield MO offices. He has been the director of research and design since 2002.

Todd Anderson has been promoted vice president/general manager of STEMCO-Kaiser, coinciding with STEMCO's acquisition of V.W. Kaiser Engineering in Millington MI. He served most recently as vice president-operations for STEMCO.

Michael Johnson will become the new western sales manager for PALFINGER knuckle boom cranes for the western United States and Canada, responsible for all U.S. states west of the Mississippi River as well as the four western Canadian provinces. He has more than 20 years' experience in the area of truck-mounted equipment.

Industry associationprofiles

Andrew Cifranic, brand manager for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, has been selected to serve as the co-chair of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Brand Protection Council. Cifranic was featured speaker at the Technology Anti-Counterfeiting and Gray Market Fraud Summit in March 2007. He also represented the transportation industry on a United States Chamber of Commerce panel, where he spoke about the risk counterfeit parts can pose to highway safety.
