William Robert “Rob” Parkhurst II of Sedalia MO, chief executive officer of Parkhurst Mfg Co Inc, died February 21, 2012. He was 46. The grandson of the late William R Parkhurst, founder of Parkhurst Mfg, he was born October 9, 1965, in Sedalia. After graduating from Central Missouri State University (UCM) in 1989, he served the company as vice-president, president, and CEO. He served on several committees and panels of the National Truck Equipment Association. He is survived by his wife Paula and five children, Bailey, Katy, Jack, Madelyn and Morgan Parkhurst; three sisters, Melinda Moore (Kevin), Maria Dirck, and Marcy Parkhurst; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Rob Parkhurst Foundation, an organization for the benefit of underprivileged children.
TBEI Inc announced that David J Strehl, chief financial officer since 2007, died December 17, 2011, after a six-month battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Jerry Frost, vice-president of finance, was named financial leader for the organization. Frost brings industry knowledge from his 12-plus years with the company, including his role as controller/CFO for Ox Bodies Inc.
