A Fleet Management Symposium is slated to kick off the more than 30 training opportunities scheduled for The Work Truck Show 2005 and 41st annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention. Designed specifically for managers of vocational truck and equipment fleets, the day-and-a-half symposium (February 28 — March 1) delivers tools needed to maximize driver/tradesman productivity while minimizing cost per mile.

Kelly Walker, president of fleet management consulting firm Kelly Walker Associates (Dallas, TX), will lead the symposium, titled Master's Seminar in Advanced Equipment, Fleet and Shop Management. The seminar brings together five key elements: management of the chassis, all of its upfits, on-board inventories, the vehicle driver/tradesman, and remote-monitoring technologies. Participants will learn how to integrate these elements for world-class fleet and equipment management.
