NTDA galvanizes for future growth

RENO, NEVADA, WAS THE SCENE for the 16th annual National Trailer Dealers Association Convention October 6-8, attended by more than 200 members.

The program featured two motivational presentations, including a Keynote Address by Ron Slee, “Building a Parts and Service Customer Satisfaction Game Plan,” and a General Session by Anthony Galie, “The Subconscious Aspects of Business.”

Management consultant and dealer relations expert Frank Guerin led two educational sessions focused on maximizing profitability through parts and service and dealer-factory relations. Steve Robbins, owner and principal of SRCS, led a session on marketing to improve customer communications.

National Truck Equipment Association technical services director Bob Raybuck led sessions on trailer certification issues and Federal Excise tax laws and requirements. NTDA executive director Steve Carey gave a presentation on valuable business services and resources available from the NTDA.

Alan Sims, who has been involved with the NTDA for more than 10 years, was installed as NTDA president.

Outgoing president Don Cartwright gave a State of the Association Address, lauding the growth of the association to more than 300 members and outlining the goals for the future, including developing a strategic plan to provide direction and guidelines for future growth.
