Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, is consolidating North American operations

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), one of Asia's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, is consolidating North American operations at Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA), based in Logan Township NJ.

MFTA, a wholly owned subsidiary of MFTBC, will now handle all brand-related operations, including vehicles sales, marketing, product applications, distribution, dealer relations, and parts and service. It will be the dedicated wholesale organization for Mitsubishi Fuso in the United States and Canada.

Established in 1985, MFTA has historically been the base of all Mitsubishi Fuso operations in North America. Since January 2008, the brand's sales, marketing, and distribution functions have been handled through the Sterling Trucks organization of Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). Both DTNA and MFTBC are part of the Daimler Trucks Division of Daimler AG.

In October, DTNA announced its future discontinuation of the Sterling brand in response to continuing depressed demand across the industry and structural changes in the company's core markets. With this development, Mitsubishi Fuso's sales, marketing, product application, and distribution will transfer to MFTA.
