MHC Kenworth has opened two new full-service branches in the Atlanta area, its first two facilities in Georgia.
A member of Kenworth's dealer network of nearly 300 locations in the U.S. and Canada, MHC Kenworth-Atlanta and MHC Kenworth-McDonough will focus on delivering more services to the Georgia market, according to Todd Rice, MHC vice president.
"MHC strives to go the extra mile for our customers, and we are known for this level of service in our markets," Rice said. "Our expectations are to strive for the same level of service exemplified by Kenworth's recent reception of the 2004 J.D. Power and Associates award for 'Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Medium Duty Dealer Truck Service'."
Recent actions included expanding its outside parts sales force to better serve customers in the greater Atlanta area and investing in a large stock of both new and used trucks in a variety of specifications. Future plans include expanded hours of operation and additional locations.
MHC is also undertaking a renovation of the main Atlanta location. The remodel will include installing a driver's lounge and employee rest area. The MHC Kenworth-Atlanta location currently offers new and used truck sales, parts and service at 42 service bays within 66,000 square feet. It features a separate PACCAR Leasing Company operation. The smaller MHC Kenworth-McDonough location covers 21,000 square feet, and offers parts and service. It is at 2003 Industrial Parkway, and phone number is (678) 432-3989. Hours at both facilities are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
