The typical truck equipment manufacturer has $11.25 million in annual sales and 113 employees, according to a recent National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) manufacturer member survey. The NTEA 2001 Manufacturer Employee Compensation Report details executive and employee compensation practices for participating companies, including bonuses and benefits. The data is provided by sales volume as well as geographic regions.

Participants and other truck equipment manufacturers can use the report to judge how competitive their compensation packages are. The information also helps companies prove their compensation packages are reasonable within constraints of the Internal Revenue Code.

The survey was conducted and compiled for the NTEA by the Profit Planning Group, a research firm based in Boulder CO. The report is available to members for $100, nonmembers for $200 by phoning 800-441-NTEA. For additional information on the report, visit www.ntea.com.
