Manac Inc., a subsidiary of The Canam Manac Group, announced that it has signed a contract of approximately $15 million with S.L.H. Transport Inc. of Kingston, Ontario, to manufacture 600 prepainted aluminum vans.

This is one of the largest semitrailer contracts received by Manac since it was founded in 1966.

The S.L.H. Transport Inc. contract includes the manufacture of 600 fifty-three-foot vans equipped with tandem air-ride axle. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between May and August 2004. S.L.H. is a steadily growing Canadian for-hire trucking company that supplies quality air-ride service to shippers across Canada and United States.

Manac's plant in Saint-Georges-de-Beauce will manufacture the contract. This order will allow Manac to increase the production level of vans at the Saint-Georges plant to full capacity during the next few weeks and will result in the rehiring of 55 employees.
