Lancaster Named NATM Technical Director

The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) has appointed Clint Lancaster as the NATM Technical Director

The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) has appointed Clint Lancaster as the NATM Technical Director. Lancaster has been an NATM Compliance Consultant since August 2006 and was promoted to NATM Technical Director in September 2008.

As Technical Director, Lancaster will be in charge of all association technical-related activities and committees, and will answer NATM member’s technical questions. He will also serve as the technical liaison to the Government Affairs Committee, keeping current on new laws and regulations affecting the trailer industry.

Lancaster will represent NATM as a liaison with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and other industry organizations, in the development and maintenance of industry standards. He will continue scheduling and performing on-site visits to member companies (trailer manufacturers) throughout the US and Canada to inspect products and processes for compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and industry practices, as detailed in the NATM Guidelines.

Lancaster’s trailer experience includes more than 10 years managing trailer manufacturing operations. He was also the manager of a national trailer parts distributor and manufacturer. He is a former U.S. Marine and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s from Webster University.

In June, Lancaster completed the requirements to be named an ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer, indicating a proficiency in and a comprehension of quality engineering principles and practices. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Engineering Management.
