International Truck and Engine Corp. has attained ISO 9001:2000 certification for the quality standards and processes of its manufacturing and assembly operations.

The audit certifies that the quality management systems of International Truck Group met world-class levels of integrity and consistency.

The audit focuses on such criteria as product realization, management responsibility, resource management and measurement, analysis and improvement.

“This ISO standard concentrates on processes that influence customer satisfaction, like continuous improvement and meeting regulatory requirements,” said Nick Matich, International vp-quality.

This new certification comes in addition to International’s ISO 9001:2000 certification for its manufacturing facilities in Springfield, OH; Garland, TX; and Escobedo, Mexico; and for its customer support, reliability and quality operations, located in both Warrenville, IL and Fort Wayne, IN.
