International announces 7600 model

INTERNATIONAL Truck and Engine Corporation rolled out the its 7600 42 and 64 models. These new models combine the features of the International 7000 Series

INTERNATIONAL Truck and Engine Corporation rolled out the its 7600 4×2 and 6×4 models. These new models combine the features of the International 7000 Series with big bore power.

They will be offered with set-forward and set-back axles and up to a 50-degree wheel cut. Other features include

  • Power of up to 430 horsepower from Caterpillar C-10 and C-12 engines.

  • A wide range of transmissions, including Eaton Fuller manuals and Allison HD automatics.

  • The same cab, chassis, and 107 inches bumper-to-back-of-cab as the rest of the 7000 Series.

  • A standard larger cooling system mounted above the frame rail provides clearance for front-mounted PTOs.

  • The electrical system uses 80% fewer mechanical switches and 40% less wiring in the instrument panel.

  • Two-way breakaway mirrors can withstand up to a 9 mph impact.

  • A three-piece hood with individual sections can be removed and replaced easily.

The International 7600 will go into full production in August at the International facility in Garland, Texas.
