Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems has introduced a new protective coating for remanufactured brake shoes that is guaranteed against lining edge cracking from ‘rust jacking’ when used in conjunction with Haldex Friction with Cross-Link Technology. The coating will protect the remanufactured brake shoe longer than what is provided by other brake shoe reliners to the heavy duty industry, company officials said. The coating is applied through a process that insures that each shoe is properly coated, cured and ready for lining attachment. The new coating is available at six Haldex Service Center locations in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Harrisburg, Fargo and Grand Rapids. The remaining service center locations in these areas will acquire the painting equipment soon, company officials said.
