Manfred Stolpe, Germany's minister of transport says the German truck toll, the Maut, will start on January 1, according to CV News Brief.

All trucks over 26,455 pounds will pay between 17 cents and 27 cents a kilometer on Germany's 12,000-kilometer autobahn network. The plan should raise around $4.6 billion a year, much of which, the German government says, will be spent on road and rail infrastructure.
