Fabtech International 2001 Will Mark 20 Years of Service to Forming, Fabricating Industry

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International (FMA) present the Fabtech International annual metal forming and fabricating event, marking 20 years of service to the forming and fabricating industry. Fabtech will be held Nov 11 — 14, 2001, at McCormick Place South in Chicago IL.

Fabtech International 2001 expects to draw 32,000 forming and fabricating professionals from more than 50 nations to see nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies.

Highlighting four technology segments, the forming and fabricating, stamping, tube and pipe, and welding technology areas will provide access to specialized equipment and processes.

Held concurrently with the exposition, the Fabtech International Conference will feature 45 sessions exploring production processes and business improvement strategies. In addition, free Product Technology Forums comprised of panels of equipment manufacturers will highlight innovations and trends in press brakes, stamping, tube bending, and welding automation.

Coinciding with Fabtech will be the Frontline Solutions Expo taking place Nov 13 — 15 in the Lakeside Center at McCormick Place. This event will showcase tools, technologies, and resources to streamline supply chain communications and manage information about raw materials, work in progress, inventory, shipments, assets, and personnel. Fabtech participants will have free access to this event with their Fabtech badges.
