Hydro Aluminum has a revised, updated North American edition of its Extrusion Design Manual, a practical engineering and application guide to aluminum extrusions. This publication gives designers, engineers, and product developers the technical guidelines to develop new uses for extruded aluminum.
The user-friendly manual includes information about the properties of aluminum, extrusion manufacture, surface treatments, and recycling. A technical section presents details and in-depth information on areas such as corrosion resistance, types of extrusions, joining, fabrication techniques, and tolerances, as well as design suggestions.
This is the second edition of the manual being offered in North America. It draws on years of global experience, having evolved from a similar manual distributed in Europe in the past 15 years.
