Diesel prices climb to $1.745

According to the Dept. of Energy, weekly diesel prices rose 2.8 cents to $1.745 per gallon, just 2.6 cents shy of settling a new record high that was set in March 10, 2003.

According to the Dept. of Energy, weekly diesel prices rose 2.8 cents to $1.745 per gallon, just 2.6 cents shy of settling a new record high that was set in March 10, 2003.

California diesel prices surged 8.2 cents to $2.356 per gallon— making it the most expensive region. The biggest increase was in the West Coast, which saw a price jump of 10.9 cents to $2.255 per gallon.

The cheapest region to buy diesel is in the Lower Atlantic, at $1.633 per gallon.
