Diesel price up 4 cents over a year ago

The average price for diesel nationally went up by just one-tenth of a cent this week, but, at $1.642, is 4 cents higher than it was a year ago.

The average price for diesel nationally went up by just one-tenth of a cent this week, but, at $1.642, is 4 cents higher than it was a year ago.

The biggest change over last week came on the West Coast, where the price jumped 2.2 cents, from $1.795 to $1.817. That remains the highest-priced diesel in the U.S., and California ($1.889) has the highest price of any state.
