DEL Liftgates Inc has changed its name to Ultron Lift. The change is a reflection of the company's new ownership, headed by Michael M Militello, who purchased the company, but not the name “DEL,” in September 2000.
“The new name was also developed to create synergy between the company's North American companies, each of which had been operating under a different name, said Militello, president of Ultron. “We went under the name Canadian Liftgates Inc in Canada, and DEL Liftgates Inc in the United States. By adopting the Ultron Lift name for both, we're consolidating and strengthening our brand identity.”
The company began as Diesel Equipment Limited (DEL) in 1945.
