Teams from three Saginaw County (MI) high schools competed for a $6,000 scholarship in the Scientific Brake & Equipment Co's “Take Your Creativity for a Ride” student contest. Students from Freeland High School, Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy, and Saginaw Career Complex presented their designs for truck concepts of the future February 19 at Scientific's main office in Saginaw MI.

The student contest was launched in September 2003 to coincide with Scientific's 75th anniversary and encouraged all Saginaw County high schools to participate. Scientific and its suppliers are contributing to the scholarship prize.

The scholarship dollars can be used at any two- or four-year college or university. The second-place team receives a Craftsman tool set per student, and third place receives Scientific specialty items. For more details, phone (989) 755-9141.
