Meritor Inc's board of directors has elected Pedro Ferro vice-president, president of the company's Industrial segment, and an executive officer. He rejoined the company in May 2011 as vice-president, strategic business performance. Tim Bowes, previously responsible for the company's Industrial segment, has been appointed vice-president and president, commercial truck. Joe Mejaly, vice-president and president, will continue to manage the Aftermarket & Trailer business segment. Mary Lehmann, senior vice-president, will be responsible for corporate strategy in addition to her responsibilities for treasury, tax, corporate development, communications, and investor relations. Carsten Reinhardt, formerly chief operating officer, has left the company to pursue other opportunities. The company does not plan to replace this position.

Deist Industries has named Omar B Sandlin II vice-president of sales and marketing for its Switch-N-Go and AmeriDeck truck equipment divisions. He brings to the company many years of sales and marketing experience in the truck equipment industry.

TODCO recently promoted Jay Sloan to district sales representative for the East Central Region sales territory including Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, eastern Michigan, and western parts of Pennsylvania and New York. He most recently was customer service manager.

Douglas Dynamics Inc has appointed Kenneth W Krueger as a Class II independent director who will serve as a member of the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nominating Committee. He previously served as chief operating officer of Bucyrus International Inc.

Kinedyne Corporation has established a national OEM account manager position and named Scott Frazier to the post. He previously served as an account executive covering the company's Midwest region. Troy Davenport has taken over Frazier's previous position, while Robert Warren has been named an account executive responsible for Kinedyne's South Central and Plains sales regions. Davenport has held sales positions with Truck-Lite and Competition Tire West-Penske Racing Shocks. Warren previously worked for MHC Kenworth and FedEx Freight.

Marmon Highway Technologies has named Ken Kelley president of Webb Severe Duty. A 24-year veteran of the commercial vehicle industry, he most recently was vice-president of business development for the Brake and Wheel Ends Group of Marmon.

Jerry Derrig joins Sika Corporation, Industry Products Division's Transportation/A&C Business Unit as area manager-Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Derrig was previously an area manager in the Sika Aftermarket Business Unit. Bill Buraczewski joins the Transportation/A&C Business Unit as area manager-Indiana. He previously was employed with Utilimaster as aftermarket parts project manager.

Karmak Inc has hired Bryan Kenser as its newest regional manager responsible for the Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin sales region. He has more than 30 years of involvement with an air brake company calling on manufacturers, dealers, and distributors.

Grote Industries announced that Ken Hoskins will become plant manager for Madison IN operations. He will report to Tom Blades, vice-president of operations for Grote; Gary Liter, David Hocking, Debbie Courtney, and Jim Plum will report to Hoskins. He has previously been production manager at UGN and plant supervisor at the Kentucky Steel Center.
