Buyers Products Co has added Randy Howard as regional sales manager responsible for customer support and market development in the Florida/Georgia region.

Buyers Products Co has added Randy Howard as regional sales manager responsible for customer support and market development in the Florida/Georgia region. He brings more than 13 years' experience in the truck and trailer industry.

Detroit Diesel Corp (DDC) has appointed Carsten Reinhardt chief executive officer, effective April 1, 2003. Reinhardt will join DDC from DaimlerChrysler's Freightliner LLC business unit, where he is general manager of the company's Portland OR truck manufacturing plant.

Eaton Corp has appointed Thomas S Gross to the newly created position of vice-president — Eaton Business System. Hejoins Eaton from Danaher Corp, where he was group executive for the Motion Control business.

Eberhard Mfg Co has appointed Pat O'Reilly regional manager for the eastern sales region. He previously served as an inside sales representative. Angeline Hoyt, who most recently worked in Eberhard's purchasing and customer service departments, is joining the inside sales staff.

Sloan Transportation Products has named Douglas S Thomson executive director — heavy-duty sales. He has a background in sales and marketing with Federal-Mogul Corp. Todd M Kuipers, a sales and marketing representative, has been promoted to marketing and product supervisor. Christopher M Terryn, who has been appointed product analyst, served as an account director at Close Air Support Ltd.

Cummins Inc has appointed Jill Cook vice-president — human resources. She formerly served as executive director — human resources for the company. Cummins also has promoted Ravi Venkatesan, previously managing director — India, to vice-president — India.

Omar Fakhoury has been named vice-president of engineering for Gunite Corp. He most recently served as manager of product research and development.

Imperial Group, a business unit of Transportation Technologies Industries (TTI), has named Marty Drennen vice-president of engineering. He previously was director of engineering at Imperial Group.
