A NEWLY developed chassis for heavy-duty use has three large-diameter tubes for crossmembers. Flanges of the cylindrical sills are bolted to the webs of the I-beam longitudinal rails. This semitrailer chassis frame has been undergoing lab tests and field trials since 1998. It was shown at the IAA in Hanover by Menci of Italy, manufacturer of dump trailers, bulk feed tank trailers, and chassis for tank trailers and refrigerated trailers.
