Capping off its 10th year as a Carrier Transicold dealership, Carrier Transicold of Utah was named 2007 North American Dealer of the Year at Carrier Transicold’s annual Truck, Trailer and Rail dealer meeting held recently in Greensboro, Ga.

At the event, Carrier also recognized Refriservicio, based in Mexico City, as its Latin American Dealer of the Year. In all, 28 firms and three individuals from Carrier’s North American and Latin American dealer networks were recognized for strong sales and service performance, making significant investments in facilities and achieving business objectives.

“Break-Through Solutions” was the theme of the dealer meeting, which reviewed the positive market reaction to innovation found in the hybrid diesel-electric Vector 1800MT system and X2 Series trailer refrigeration units, while previewing future developments.

The awards presentation was a breakthrough experience for Carrier Transicold of Utah, which was founded in 1997 by Greg Jenson, president, and Jay Payne, vice president of sales. A first-time Dealer of the Year winner, Carrier Transicold of Utah generated significant growth since its founding and now has 24 service technicians, an eight-bay full-service facility in Salt Lake City, and runs mobile operations from St. George, Utah, and Reno, Nev. The dealership also received a NextLevel Perfect Score award - a prerequisite to winning Dealer of the Year.

“Carrier Transicold of Utah constantly thinks out-of-the-box to satisfy customer needs,” said Joe Porto, Carrier Transicold’s director of sales. “They don't just provide products and services, they provide solutions - break-through solutions.”

Commenting on Refriservicio, Carrier’s Jesus Estrada, region director for Mexico and Latin America, said, “With 19 years in Carrier’s dealer network, Refriservicio has challenged itself to serve Mexico City - one of the largest cities in the world. To do so, it has changed dramatically to satisfy its customers’ needs, leading to new and unique ways to provide solutions.”

Led by Jorge Hernández, president, Refriservicio also received a NextLevel Perfect Score award, a Quota-Buster and a Double-Double for achieving double-digit growth in two areas.
