Hendrickson International received a Manny Award recently for manufacturing excellence in northeast Ohio. Inside Business magazine, in partnership with CAMP Inc, presented the awards during ceremonies in Cleveland OH. Hendrickson was honored for developing and introducing its cam tube system — standard on all Intraax and Vantraax trailer suspension systems.
Jay White, manager of components engineering, and Chris Redgrave, principal engineer for brakes, accepted the award for Hendrickson and the cam tube team. Redgrave and White developed this assembly to reduce contamination and premature wear of brake components on heavy-duty trailers.
Addition of the cam tube system allowed Hendrickson to triple the length of its warranty for related brake components to three-years or 300,000 miles in linehaul applications.
