Blue Ridge opens facility, will train workers

Blue Ridge Manufacturing has opened its new 20,000-square-foot facility in Blue Ridge GA that will include fabricating, welding, and powdercoat paint departments.

Blue Ridge Manufacturing has opened its new 20,000-square-foot facility in Blue Ridge GA that will include fabricating, welding, and powdercoat paint departments. The new operation will produce flatbed, stake, dump, and landscape truck bodies; custom-built truck bodies may also be ordered.

The Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education's Quick Start program will provide free employee training for about 20 workers at the Blue Ridge Mfg facility. Quick Start will be designing and developing training material, as well as providing instructors for the classes. After this training is completed, Appalachian Technical College will be available to assist Blue Ridge Mfg with ongoing training programs.
