The American Welding Society (AWS) has completed the new edition of Specification for Bare Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Welding Electrodes and Rods (AWS A5. 10/A5.10M:1999). This ANSI-approved standard was prepared by the AWS Committee on Filler Metals and Allied Materials. The new edition prescribes requirements for classification of bare, wrought, and cast-aluminum-alloy electrodes and rods for use with gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, oxyfuel gas, and plasma arc welding processes.

Specification for Bare Aluminum and Aluminum-Alloy Welding Electrodes and Rods is 32 pages long and includes two annexes, nine tables, and six figures.
