Webb Aftermarket Forms Alliance with TMD Friction

The Aftermarket Business Unit of Webb Wheel Products, Inc. has entered into a strategic alliance with TMD Friction to couple brake drums and friction linings to better serve the commercial vehicle aftermarket parts industry.

Being able to couple our products with linings from a global friction manufacturer with TMD's experience will allow us to offer the end user the combination most likely to give him the best performance," said Wolfgang Winzer, President of Webb's Aftermarket Business Unit.

TMD Friction Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of brake friction materials in the original equipment market of the automotive and brake industry. Its product portfolio comprises disc brake pads and drum brake linings for passenger cars and commercial vehicles together with brake pads for racing and friction materials for industry.

TMD Friction also supplies the global aftermarket with its TEXTAR, PAGID, MINTEX, DON, COBREQ and COSID brands. With manufacturing facilities in Germany and other European countries, the USA, Brazil, Mexico, China, Japan and Malaysia, TMD Friction generates a turnover of 662 million euros and employs 4400 people worldwide.
