TMD Friction Group dedicated its new Research and Development Center during a ceremony for industry leaders, government officials, and members of the media. Officiating at the ceremony was TMD Chairman Trevor Bonner, TMD Chief Executive Officer David Bundred, and Chris Watson, vice-president of United States sales and engineering.

This new 23,000-square-foot facility at 1035 Crooks Road in Troy MI will provide increased capacity for vehicle testing, product development, and prototyping. It includes two dynamometers, a physical test laboratory, and a prototype-manufacturing cell. The center is directed by Watson, a 17-year veteran of the company.
