Heil begins consolidating parts businesses

Heil Environmental Industries Ltd has begun consolidating its OEM and aftermarket parts businesses, with a targeted completion date for final integration by March 31, 2004.
This consolidation will move the aftermarket parts company Parts Inc to join Heil Certified OEM Parts under the umbrella of Heil Parts Central. Parts Central then will sell Heil Certified OEM parts as well as Parts Inc aftermarket parts for Heil and other competitive brands of refuse collection vehicles.
Purchased by Heil in 1999, Piedmont SC aftermarket parts supplier Parts Inc has functioned as a wholly owned Heil subsidiary since then. Now the operation, sales/service administration, and management functions will be moved to Fort Payne AL, already home to the Parts Central business unit and Heil's Certified OEM Parts.
Heil Certified OEM Parts will remain available via Heil's national distribution network after the merger. Aftermarket parts for competitors' refuse collection vehicles, as well as select aftermarket parts for Heil, will be offered for the first time from Parts Central and Heil's national distribution network.
Both organizations' phone and personnel support will remain intact until the physical move of locations and transition of personnel, processes, and infrastructure has occurred.
