Oct 1, 2006 12:00 PM

Haldex is celebrating the 25th anniversary of manufacturing and assembly operations in Blue Springs MO. The company also marked production of its 50-millionth automatic brake adjuster (ABA) worldwide.

Guests attending an open-house celebration toured the facility where Haldex ABAs are manufactured and assembled. Russ Sims, plant manager at Haldex Blue Springs, welcomed guests, with opening remarks by Chuck Kleinhagen, executive vice-president — Haldex and head of Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems Division; and Steve Steiner, mayor of Blue Springs. A resolution honoring the firm was presented to Haldex by Rep Bryan Pratt, House of Representatives, Missouri District 55.

Besides past presidents of Haldex Blue Springs, the first president of Haldex Blue Springs, Arthur Bowers, was on hand for the celebration.
