FleetPride to offer on-site parts training

May 1, 2003 12:00 PM

FleetPride announced the launch of its nationwide training tour, an effort designed to bring specialized training sessions to the heavy-duty parts distributor and their customers.

One 28-ft Tech Trailer has been outfitted with an array of hands-on training aides, including working heavy-duty components and cutaway product displays. Two more are scheduled to hit the road in mid-2003 and early 2004. Pulled by one-ton vans or pickup trucks, the trailers will have swing-down rear doors and built-in heating and air-conditioning.

“There are very few comprehensive and accessible training programs for aftermarket fleet parts customers,” said Bob Jennings, vice-president of sales and marketing.

Instructors from select manufacturers will meet the trailer when it arrives at the FleetPride store or customer location. The company expects to conduct a minimum of 600 training sessions annually, reaching 10,000 technicians. (www.fleetpride.com)
