The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) has released its 2003 edition of the Financial Benchmarks for Success: A Survey of Aftermarket Distributors. This survey of 340 participating companies contains key statistics on profitability, sales, asset turnover, and return on assets.

Included are charts, graphs, and tables designed as a guide to run businesses or understand customers. In addition, the survey contains specific data for wholesalers/jobbers, warehouse distributors with and without outlets, two-step warehouse distributors, heavy-duty distributors, and PBE jobbers.

The report is free to companies that participated in the survey; non-participants can purchase the report. The AAIA member price of the report is $95 ($195 for non-members). For more information or to order a copy of the report, go to AAIA's web site at www.aftermarket.org, or phone 301-654-6664.

For answers to questions regarding content of the report, or to find out about becoming a participant, phone Dan Kaplan, AAIA senior director of market research, at 301-654-6664 ext1038 or e-mail dan.kaplan@aftermarket.org.
