Truck Brake Market Has a New Player

Newly formed based Elite Brake Co. has announced it will supply is commercial vehicle brake components. The company stated it is developing a full line of brake block, brake lining, medium-duty hydraulic brake disc pads, heavy duty air brake disc pads as well as new lined brake shoes and kits, remanufactured brake shoes and kits, and complete brake drum kits.
The company declared its mission as a tier-two supplier to OEMs and the aftermarket is “to bring better brake performance to medium- and heavy- duty commercial vehicle fleets operating trucks, trailers, and transit/coach buses.”
Elite Brake will be led by John Healy, a friction industry veteran, who gained 20 years of experience at brake component suppliers Marathon, Brake Pro, and Incolbestos.
“The primary focus of our new company will be unique brake products that are developed to be application-specific and provide the lowest cost per mile for each fleet,” said Healy. “Our company slogan is ‘We have the right brake for you’ and that’s our ultimate aim, to offer products to help individual fleets meet their performance and operating cost goals”.
Elite Brake’s corporate office, distribution center, and remanufacturing center will be located in Rome, GA. According to the company, its recently completed remanufacturing center will use such processes as WhiteGlove, DiamondCote, and Eagle-i.
According to Elite Brake, it is “currently receiving inquiries for customized solutions to improve brake performance at their website www.elitebrake.com.”
