Martin Engineering Acquires Cougar Industries

Martin Engineering has announced the acquisition of Cougar Industries (Peru, IL), a manufacturer of industrial vibrators made in the USA.
Martin Engineering CEO Scott Hutter said that plans are to retain the Cougar name and continue operations in Peru as a division of Martin Engineering.
“Cougar has a great reputation for high quality, heavy-duty electric vibrators operating on alternating & direct current,” he said. “This move will give us complete control over our vibrator quality and delivery. It will also allow us to quickly design, engineer and manufacture vibrators for special customer applications. Martin Engineering will now be able to more actively pursue worldwide applications for all types of vibrators, especially 12- and 24-volt models used on mobile equipment, which is one of Cougar’s strengths.”
