Firestone unit raising air spring prices

Firestone Industrial Products Company LLC (FSIP), will increase prices by 5 percent on air springs for the light-duty market, effective January 1, 2009.
In the first, second, and third quarters of 2008, the economy experienced high escalations in the costs of raw materials, logistics, transportation, and energy. Raw materials — steel, plastic, carbon black, and natural rubber — directly impact FSIP products and were hit with unprecedented third-quarter price increases, which in some cases almost doubled prices.
