Dexter Axle Acquires Ventline, Door Business From Philips Products

Jun 10, 2009 2:52 PM

Dexter Axle completed the acquisition of the RV, cargo, and horse-trailer door business from Philips Products, as well as its Ventline product offerings, and the hiring of 112 Philips employees into Dexter.

“The addition of these quality product offerings were natural complements to markets that Dexter already serves, and where Dexter is well known for providing superior quality, service, and support,” Dexter axle president Adam Dexter said.

Tomkins Industries, the parent company of Dexter Axle and Philips Products, also announced that it will be closing Philips Products, which produces doors and windows for the manufactured housing
and residential commercial markets. The segments of Philips Products recently acquired by Dexter Axle will not close. Dexter’s plans to grow the recently acquired business from Philips are unaffected by the closing of Philips Products.
