Bendix honors Wasem with special award

Mark Wasem, director of business excellence at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, was presented with the global company's most prestigious individual award at an event recently at its Elyria OH headquarters.
Wasem received the Linda Fehlman Award, an honor given annually to the Bendix employee who best exemplifies the company's values of customer focus, integrity, teamwork, leadership, and performance. The award was established in 1995 in the memory of a Bendix leader who died of cancer.
As part of the award recognition, a donation is also made in the name of the award winner to the American Cancer Society in Fehlman's memory.
Wasem is the 12th employee to win this award. He joined Bendix in 1979 as a co-op and was hired fulltime in February 1981. During his more than 26 years with the company, Wasem has held a number of management positions.
