Alcoa Fastener Systems Improves Speed-To-Market With New Facilities

Dec 31, 2008 11:36 AM

Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS) Industrial Distribution Group (IDG), suppliers of Marson, Recoil, Keysert, and Huck brand fastening products, has announced the establishment of its new headquarters in Tracy, CA.

Providing high-level logistics and packaging services, this 25,000-square-foot facility represents a key element in the ongoing development of the company’s distribution infrastructure. Soon to follow will be an 8,000-square-foot logistics, distribution, and packaging center scheduled to open first quarter of 2009 in Del Rio, TX.

Working in conjunction with its Indianapolis logistics and packaging operation, these two new facilities provide AFS IDG a true, dedicated distribution network that better serves the customer with improved product speed-to-market.

“Investing in our distribution infrastructure allows us to better serve all of our North American markets,” said Rod Alavi, director of the Industrial Distribution Group-AFS Global.
