ArvinMeritor Inc has named Joe Plomin vice-president of the Truck business unit within Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS), effective immediately. He most recently served as senior vice-president-sales, marketing, and product line management for Remy International in Anderson IN.
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC has appointed Rick Nork as its vice-president and chief financial officer. Eddie Wilkinson has been promoted to vice-president of quality and product safety. Nork, who held the CFO post on an interim basis for the past four months, came to Bendix after 12 years with Robert Bosch Corp/AlliedSignal Braking Systems Americas, where he was CFO and executive vice-president of finance, controlling, and administration. Wilkinson previously served as operations director at Bendix since 2006.
Doug Dorn will become director-OEM sales in Europe for the Powered Vehicle Systems business unit of SAF-Holland Inc. He most recently held the position of manager-truck OEM business development. The firm announces that Frank Puciul has been named OEM account manager-powered vehicle systems, responsible for the Paccar group including Kenworth Truck Co and Peterbilt Motors. A SAF Holland employee since 1990, he has served as a national accounts manager since 2000.
Bystronic has appointed Ferdinand Reyes managing director of Bystronic Mexico SA de CV. With experience in manufacturing and in management of sheet metal manufacturing operations, he joined Bystronic in April 2005 as sales manager for the Mexico market.
John M Boler, president, chief executive officer, and chairman of The Boler Co, announced that, effective immediately, Matthew J Boler is succeeding him as president and CEO of The Boler Co. Gary E Gerstenslager has been promoted to president and CEO of Hendrickson. Previously he held the position of president and chief operating officer of Hendrickson. Matthew Boler previously was vice president of corporate development and earlier served as the general manager of Hendrickson Bumper and Trim.
David B Templeton recently assumed duties as vice-president of human resources (HR) for Hendrickson. He most recently served in a dual role leading Hendrickson's HR functions companywide and also serving as director of HR for Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems in Canton OH. David Decker has joined the organization, succeeding Templeton at Hendrickson Trailer. He comes to the firm from Kennametal Inc, where he served as director of HR.
